Recording On a tape
manually
You can record tracks from CD, radio, or the
connected component as you like. For
example, you can record just the songs you
want or record from the middle of the CD.

Insert a blank tape into the deck.

Press FUNCTION repeatedly until
the source you want to record (e.g.,
CD) appears.

Start playing the source to be
recorded.

Press 9 REC on the remote.
The deck stands by for recording and the
REC lamp on the unit lights up red.

Press DIR MODE on the remote
repeatedly to select " to record
on one side or CTi) to record on both
sides.

Press OC.
Recording starts from the front side.

Tips
• When you want to reduce the hiss noise in low-
level high-frequency signals, press DOLBY NR on
the remote before step 6 so
"OQ"
appears.
• When you press # REC during stop of the CD,
CD synchro recording starts (see "Recording a
CD" on the page 14).
