1. Follow the instructions in " Preparing to Work Inside the Computer ."
2. Remove the hard drive .
3. Remove the optical drive .
4. Remove the memory module(s) .
5. Remove the modem .
6. Remove the Mini PCI card .
7. Remove the hinge cover .
8. Remove the keyboard .
9. Remove the display assembly .
10. Remove the button board and the EMI shield .
11. Remove the video card .
12. Remove the palm rest .
13. Remove the microprocessor thermal-cooling assembly .
14. Remove the microprocessor .
15. Remove the speakers .
16. Remove the system board .
