Removing the Palm Rest
1.
Follow the instructions in
Before You Begin
.
2.
Press and eject any installed cards from the ExpressCard slot and the 8-in-1 memory card reader.
3.
Remove any installed memory modules and Mini-Cards (see
Memory
and
Communication Cards
).
4.
Follow the instructions in
Display Assembly
.
5.
Turn the computer upside down and remove the eight screws from the computer base.
6.
Turn the computer top side up and remove the four screws from the top of the palm rest.

NOTICE:
To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface
(such as the back panel) on the computer.

6 fingerprint cable connector
(optional)
NOTICE:
Pull on the plastic tab on top of the connectors to avoid damaging the connectors.
