3.

Apply new thermal grease to the top of the processor.

 

4.

Place the processor fan and heatsink assembly over the processor.

 

5.

Align the clamps on the processor fan and heatsink assembly with the tabs on the bracket.

 

6.

Push the clamps toward the tabs until they lock on either side of the processor fan and heatsink assembly.

 

7.

Rotate the lever clockwise until it locks the processor fan and heatsink assembly to the bracket.

 

8.

Connect the processor fan and heat sink assembly cable to the system board connector CPU_FAN1 (see

System Board Components

).


 

9.

Replace the computer cover (see

Replacing the Computer Cover

).


 

10.

Connect your computer and devices to electrical outlets, and turn them on.
