Using the Self-Timer
The self-timer can be used for recording movies and still images.
Available only in the
and
modes.
When recording movies:
1. Open the FUNC. menu and select (
) the self timer icon.
2. Set (
) it to [SELF TIMER ON] and close the menu.

3. Press the start/stop button.
The camcorder starts recording after a 10-second countdown (2 seconds when using
the START/STOP button of the wireless controller). The countdown appears on the
screen.
When recording still images:
1. Open the FUNC. menu and select (
) the drive mode icon.
2. Select (
) the [SELF TIMER] option and close the menu.

” appears.
3. Press the PHOTO button, first halfway to activate the autofocus and
then fully.
The camcorder will record the image after a 10-second countdown (2 seconds when
using the PHOTO button of the wireless controller). The countdown appears on the
screen.
To cancel the self-timer, select the [SELF TIMER OFF] option (or a different
drive mode in
mode). Once the countdown has begun, you can
also press the start/stop button (when recording movies) or the PHOTO button
fully (when recording still images) to cancel the self-timer.
The self-timer will be canceled when you turn off the camcorder or change the
position of the TAPE/CARD switch.
