Remove the print head unit only when you have a new one available (otherwise
your ink tanks may dry out). To remove the used print head unit, follow these
steps:

Open the printer’s cover.

Remove the four ink tanks and set them aside for now.

Be sure to set them upright on a level surface with their number
labels facing up.

Do not remove the print head yet.

Close the cover

Press and hold down the

FF,

PRINT MODE

and

buttons and press the

POWER

button until the printer beeps. This empties the ink from the print

head unit.

Open the printer’s cover.

Press in on the tabs on the sides of the cover and lift it up.
