6. Fold boxes using hydraulic cylinders. Do this very
slowly and carefully. Serious damage could occur if done
fast and carelessly.
7. In folded position with the gauge wheels down on a
hard flat surface, adjust and center the four transport car-
rier saddles on the transport roller.
8. After the adjustments have been made and all fasten-
ers tightened, raise the wing box gauge wheels to lower
the wing boxes into the transport saddles, be sure to com-
pletely retract the wing box transport cylinders for clear-
ance.
BASIC DRILL OPERATING PROCEDURES
FOLDING
1. Folding is best achieved on level ground with the trac-
tor transmission in neutral. Be aware of the clearance re-
quired to fold the drill.

NEVER
allow anyone near the drill during folding oper-
ations.

REMEMBER:
The boxes are raised and lowered with
two separate hydraulic circuits. Fully raise the wing boxes
so that the drill openers are completely off the ground with
the hydraulic lift cylinders

4. Be sure all transport devices as shown in Fig. 4 and
Fig. 5, are in place before transporting.
