Dismount Drive
Some parts are recovered for use on the new drive, both
before and after dismounting the existing drive.
Refer to Figure 4
13. Remove and save one each:
805-240C PIN LINCH 3/16 X 1 9/16 LONG
808-147C SPKT 40C15 X 7/8 HEX BORE
14. On the planter tool bar, use a grease or paint pencil
to mark the location of the two U-bolts .
15. Support the weight of the existing ground drive sys-
tem, which may be as high as 400 pounds.
16. Remove and save four sets:
803-027C NUT HEX 3/4-10 PLT
804-023C WASHER LOCK SPRING 3/4 PLT
804-025C WASHER FLAT 3/4 SAE PLT
and two:
806-102C U-BOLT 3/4-10 CORNER 7 SQ
17. Lift the existing ground drive clear of the planter. Lay
it on its right side. Additional parts are removed from
the left side.

18. Remove and save one:
817-358C KNOB 3/8-16 MALE THD 2 3/8OD
19. Remove the chain guard:
407-222H FERT PUMP UPR CHAIN GUARD WLMT
It is not re-used. The kit includes a new guard.
20. Remove and save one each:
805-240C PIN LINCH 3/16 X 1 9/16 LONG
808-262C SPKT 40C47 X 7/8 HEX BORE
21. Disassemble the upper idlers, saving only two:
817-406C IDLER 1 PC 2.38X1.01X1.062
The fasteners, spacers, washers and nuts are not
re-used.
22. Remove two cotter pins at the spring rod:
805-045C PIN COTTER 5/32 X 1 1/4 LG
These are not re-used. The kit includes new pins.
23. Remove and save one each:
805-234C PIN CLEVIS 1/2 X 4 PLATED
805-127C PIN CLEVIS 1/2 X 1 3/4
121-763S OPENER SPRING ROD ASSY. SHRT.
