Before using
your washing
machine for
the first time
The washing machine must have
been installed and connected
properly refer to Page 4.
Before using your washing machine
for the first time:
q The mains voltage and the
voltage specifications on the
washing machine (rating plate)
must correspond.
q The washing machine must
have been installed and
connected properly.
q Tap must be turned on.
First wash
cycle
Selecting the language
i The programme selector must
notĂbe set to Off.
i The language must be selected
before a programme is started.
q Simultaneously press the Menu
and Change buttons and hold
down (5 seconds) until the
current setting is displayed.
q Press the Change button until
theĂdesired signal volume is
displayed.
q Confirm the language selection
byĂpressing the Menu button.
i If no button is pressed, the new
language setting is
automatically accepted after 5
seconds.
i The selected setting is retained
after the wash cycle.
Setting the time
i Before the individual settings
canĂbe selected (in particular
"Programme finished at"),
theĂtime must be set, see Page
23.
First wash cycle
(without washing)
Your appliance was tested before
leaving the factory. To remove any
water left over from testing
procedures, the first washing cycle
should be carried out without
laundry in the machine.
q Do not load any washing.
q Turn the tap on.
q Open the cover on the
detergent drawer.
q Pour approx. 1 litre of water
into dispenser I; see Page 13.
q Half fill the measuring beaker
withĂdetergent and pour into
chamber I.
i Do not use woollens or mild
detergent (foam formation).
q Close the cover on the
detergent drawer.
q Close the door.
q Set the programme selector
toĂCottons 90 ° .
The Start/Pause indicator light
flashes (red).
q Press the Start/Pause button.
The programme starts.
The indicator light is on (red).
i The individual programme
steps are indicated in the
display field.
When "Remove washing" is
displayed:
q Open the door.
q Turn the programme selector
toĂOff.
