Peristaltic pump

3.5.1

Principle of the peristaltic pump

The Peristaltic pump is used for pumping sample and auxiliary solutions. It
can rotate in both directions.

The peristaltic pump pumps liquids according to the principle of displace-
ment. The pump tubing is clamped between the rollers (4-3) and the tub-
ing cartridge (4-5). During operation, the peristaltic pump drive rotates
the roller hub (4-2), so that the rollers (4-3)
push the liquid forward in the
pump tubing.
