￭ Connect the loose end of the reactor outlet capillary (13-3) with
the detector inlet.
￭ Connect the loose end of the reagent inlet capillary (13-4) with
either
– an unused high pressure pump (recommended), and make
sure that the 6.1015.100 Metrosep BP 1 Guard/2.0 back-
pressure column is installed between the reactor and the
pulsation absorber,
or
– an unused peristaltic pump.
The reaction capillary inside the reactor is 2 m long and has a volume of
393 µL. This is sufficient for most applications. Should an application
require a longer reaction time, or if the 886 Professional Thermostat /
Reactor is used in a two channel IC system, the reactor plate can be
equipped wit additional reactors (6.2845.200). A maximum of four reac-
tors can be mounted on the reactor plate.
