Leak in the system.
Check all capillary connections and seal leaks,
if necessary (see Chapter 3.5, page 17).
Marked rise in pres-
sure
6.2821.120 inline filter
blocked.
Replace 6.2821.130 filter (see Chapter 5.6,
page 76).
MSM-HC – blocked.

Regenerate the MSM-HC (see Chapter
5.11.3.1, page 81).
Note: 6.2821.180 pump tubing connection
with filter must be used .
Guard column – blocked.
Replace guard column (see Chapter 3.19,
page 56).
Separation column –
blocked.

Regenerate separation column (see Chap-
ter 5.13.4, page 90).

Replace separation column (see "Connect-
ing and rinsing the separation column",
page 58).
Note: Samples should always be microfiltered
(see Chapter 5.7, page 78).
Injection valve – valve

Have the valve cleaned (by Metrohm service
technicians).
Drift of the baseline
Thermal equilibrium not yet

Condition instrument with the column thermo-
stat (see Chapter 3.15, Page 44) switched on .
