Transient suppression
A transient suppressor device between each field
return line and a common 0V bus clamps the field
return line voltage (with respect to 0V common) as
follows:
+37Vdc to +43Vdc @ 1mA (maximum for continuous
overload)
+70Vdc @ 69A maximum peak pulse current
for 8ms to 20ms
Safety ground terminal TS1
M3 threaded bush provision for a ring terminal. Allows
the common 0V supply bus to be grounded via a 10k
ohm resistor. Prevents the channels from floating if the
card is disconnected from the chassis.
Signal ground terminal TS2
M3 threaded bush provision for a ring terminal. Allows
J1 pin1a (field circuit) to be grounded.

TRANSPORT AND HANDLING
The TAI16AEA must be transported and stored in its original packing material which should be
retained for this purpose.
