Hardware Overview

5 flashes repeating

Five flashes repeating can indicate:

HSM Low input is toggling too fast. Cause: indicative of a short on the
HSM low line.

Opens up J1 interlock out relays for 1 second and latches ISM control in an
interlock state.

Important

Interlock relay must be wired to HSM controller interlock input to
signal the interlock to shut off the HSM controller outputs.

Reset by an “off” to “on” transition of the HSM low output from an HSM
controller or by pressing the corresponding ISM controller channel “Fault
Reset” button. If the fault comes back after resetting, there is something
wrong with the HSM low input line.

6 flashes repeating

Six flashes repeating can indicate:

HSM High input is toggling too fast. Cause: indicative of a short on the
HSM high line.

If the fault comes back after resetting, there is something
wrong with the HSM high input line.

On Solid

If the LED remains on constantly, it can indicate:

Internal ISM controller fault detected.

Pressing a Fault Reset switch will reset that channel.

Pressing the wrong Fault Reset switch can cause unexpected system
response resulting in equipment damage or personal injury.

Make sure you reset the channel that generated a fault.

Reset by either the A or B fault reset button. If the fault comes back, the
ISM controller is defective and must be replaced.
