Installing the Actuator Manifold on an Actuator
Installation
7. Insert the mounting bolts into the adapter manifold and position the adapter
manifold on the adapter manifold. Ensure that the O-rings remain seated.
8. Thread the mounting bolts into the actuator end caps and tighten to 47 N·m
(35 lbf·ft).
9. Lightly oil the O-rings with clean hydraulic fluid and position them between
the actuator manifold ports and the actuator ports.
10. Position the actuator manifold over the adapter manifold. Ensure the O-
rings remain seated.
11. Insert the mounting bolts into the adapter manifold and thread them into the
actuator. Tighten to 47 N·m (35 lbf·ft).
12. If applicable, install the servovalve(s). Go to the appropriate servovalve
manual and perform the installation procedure.
13. Connect the hydraulic hoses. See “Connecting Hydraulics” on page 18.
14. Connect the appropriate cables to the servovalve(s). See “Connecting
Cables” on page 19.
• If a Model HSM 298.11 was installed, connect the on/off solenoid
valve.
• If a Model HSM 298.12 was installed, connect the proportional valve.
