Installing the Actuator Manifold on an Actuator
The Series 298 Actuator Manifold is designed to be mounted to any of the Series
244 Actuators. The displacement of the actuator determines which adapter
manifold is required.
1. Ensure that system hydraulic pressure has been reduced to zero before
proceeding. To do this, turn off the hydraulic power unit and exercise the
actuator until it stops moving.
2. Turn off the electrical power to the controller.
3. Remove the cover plates protecting the ports on the rear of the actuator
manifold.
4. Remove any existing servovalves and manifolds from the actuator.
5. Loosen, but do not remove, the two manifold adapter bolts securing the
manifold adapter to the top of the manifold.

6. Lightly oil the O-rings with clean hydraulic fluid. Position the O-rings on
both actuator manifold ports and the adapter manifold.
