IMPORTANT
TURN OFF THE POWER AT THE MAIN FUSE OR
CIRCUIT BREAKER BOX
BEFORE STARTING INSTALLATION
Carefully unpack and identify all parts before assembly. Bulbs not
included.
1. Take the fixture wires and ground wire, which are located at top
of the socket assembly, and thread through center pipe and
upper assembly. Screw bottom end of the center pipe into the
socket assembly. Then screw top end of the center pipe into the
upper assembly.
2. This fixture can be mounted onto ceiling either as chain hung or
flush mount:
CHAIN HUNG INSTALLATION- Fig. 1:
A. Take fixture wire (with plastic insulation) and ground wire and
thread through fixture loop. Then install loop onto threaded pipe
located at top of lantern.
B. Determine the desired length of chain to hang. Remove any
unwanted links with chain pliers.
C. This fixture is supplied with 2 adjustable chain links. These links
are opened and closed by twisting cylinder on chain link. One
adjustable chain link should be installed onto fixture loop and the
other should be installed onto canopy loop. The standard chain
should be installed in between these 2 adjustable chain links.
D. Take ground wire and weave through above chain links, then
thread through center hole in canopy loop. Repeat with fixture
wire (wire with plastic insulation).
FLUSH INSTALLATION- Fig. 2:
A. Remove and discard canopy loop, and threaded pipe from
canopy.
B. Thread fixture ground wire and fixture wire through canopy,
lock washer, and hex nut. Lock all together on top of fixture by
tightening hex nut onto top threaded pipe.
3. Follow enclosed supplement installation instructions for
electrical and fixture installation onto house outlet box. If you do
not have an outlet box at desired location to attach the fixture
than hire a qualified electrician to create one.
4. Install candle tube onto sockets.
5. Install light bulb (not included). See relamping label located near
socket area for type and maximum allowed wattage.
6. Gently place glass shade inside of main frame.
7. Install main frame, along with glass shade, onto lantern by
fastening with lock washer and coupler.
8. Install a hex nut onto one end of threaded pipe leaving about
1/2" (13 mm) thread exposed. Screw same end of threaded pipe
into coupler. Tighten hex nut. Than slide cover through threaded
pipe locking in place with finial.
