IMPORTANT

TURN OFF THE POWER AT THE MAIN FUSE OR CIRCUIT BREAKER BOX BEFORE STARTING INSTALLATION

Carefully unpack and identify all parts before

assembly. Bulbs not included.

This fixture can be installed either: A. CHAIN HUNG B. SEMI FLUSH (without chain)

CHAIN HUNG INSTALLATION (See fig. 1):

1. Slip fixture loop down through the fixture wires, and then screw on top of fixture.

2. Install mounting bar (straight shape):

A. Gently pull supply wires out from ceiling outlet box.

B. Attach mounting bar securely to outlet box with two machine screws (supplied with outlet box) through slot at each end of mounting bar.

Note: mounting bar should be installed with "GND" imprint and/or two dimples facing down.

C. Fasten one hex nut about 3/4" (20 mm) down from one end of threaded pipe. Then screw same end of threaded pipe into center hole in

mounting bar. At this point test install the canopy onto ceiling through this threaded pipe and make certain 3/8" (10 mm) of thread protrude

below the canopy. If not, then adjust the threaded pipe location by screwing up or down accordingly. Once correct threaded pipe location has

been adjusted, remove canopy and tighten hex nut against mounting bar. Make certain not to spin threaded pipe during tightening.

D. Fasten another hex nut onto bottom end of threaded pipe, leaving about 1/2” (13 mm) thread exposed. Then fasten screw collar into same

end of pipe and lock into position by tightening hex nut.

3. Install chain:

A. Take one adjustable chain link (wide), twist open the locking tube, and then hook onto fixture loop and onto one end of chain. Close back the

locking tube.

B. At this point decide how much chain to use, including one additional adjustable chain link at top end, so the fixture hangs at desired height.

Spread open the chain link you have decided to remove and discard unused links.

C. Gently slide collar ring, crystal cover (#1) and then canopy (without side holes, center hole only) down the chain. NOTE: Be gentle with

crystal cover during sliding.

D. Take another adjustable chain link (narrow) and then hook onto top end of chain. Then grabbing onto chain firmly lift the fixture and hook the

same adjustable chain link onto screw collar which has been mounted onto ceiling. Close back the locking tube of adjustable chain link.

4. A. Take the fixture ground wire (without plastic insulation) and weave up through the chain links, and then through screw collar and threaded

pipe. Repeat with fixture wires (with plastic insulation).

B. Cut any excess fixture wires and ground wire leaving only about 8" (20 cm) length from top end of threaded pipe. Take fixture wires and tie a

knot above threaded pipe. Then split fixture wires and strip off 3/4" (19 mm) of plastic insulation from each end.

5. Electrical connections:

Connect fixture wire without tracer (round and smooth) to black wire from the outlet box. Connect fixture wire with tracer (square and

ridged) to white wire from the outlet box.

NOTE: Black outlet box wire may be red, round & smooth and/or have copper conductor. White outlet box wire may be square & ridged and/or

have a silver conductor.

6. Grounding Connection:

Connect fixture ground wire (without insulation) to ground wire from outlet box (usually with green insulation) with wire connector (not

provided).

IMPORTANT: Never connect ground wire to black or white power supply wires.

7. Once all wires are connected, tuck them carefully into ceiling outlet box. Then raise canopy and crystal cover against ceiling, and lock into

position by screwing collar ring onto screw collar. Do not over tighten.

8. Install light bulb (not included). See relamping label located at socket area for type and maximum allowed wattage.

9. Hang all crystal glass parts as shown on drawing.

NOTE: To replace broken crystal or pin, extras are included in hardware bag. Replace by gently bending open pin, remove broken crystal or pin,

hook new one, then close back pin. Avoid bending pin into sharp angle.

SEMI FLUSH INSTALLATION (See fig. 2):

1. A. Remove loop and threaded pipe from the screw collar.

B. Slip screw collar through the fixture wires, and then secure by screwing on top of fixture.

C. Install collar ring by screwing onto the screw collar all the way until it stops.

D. Install longer threaded pipe by screwing onto top of screw collar.

E. Take fixture wires and thread through crystal cover (#1), canopy (with center hole + two side holes), lock washer, and hex nut. Secure all on

top of fixture by tighten hex nut. NOTE: DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.

2. Cut excess wires leaving only 6" (15 cm) length of wires above canopy. Split fixture wires (with plastic insulation) into two strands. Then strip off

3/4" (19 mm) of outer plastic insulation.

3. Install mounting plate (round with extended tabs):

A. Take supply wires from outlet box and carefully pass them through center hole of mounting plate.

B. Install mounting plate onto the outlet box using two screws supplied with outlet box. Note: Mounting bar should be installed with "GND"

imprint and/or two dimples facing down.

C. Test install the assembled fixture to make certain about 1/4” (5mm) of screw thread protrude outside of canopy. If not then remove fixture

and adjust screws length accordingly. Place fixture aside.

D. Spread electrical wires so that black wires are on one side of the outlet box and the white wires are on the other side.

4. Electrical connections:

NOTE: Temporarily hang fixture with a secure wire coat hanger onto installed mounting strap, or have another helper hold onto the fixture.

Connect fixture wire without tracer (round and smooth) to black wire from the outlet box. Connect fixture wire with tracer (square and ridged)

to white wire from the outlet box.

NOTE: Black outlet box wire may be red, round & smooth and/or have copper conductor. White outlet box wire may be square & ridged and/or

have a silver conductor.

5. Grounding Connection:

Connect fixture ground wire (without insulation) to ground wire from outlet box (usually with green insulation) with wire connector (not

provided).

IMPORTANT: Never connect ground wire to black or white power supply wires.

6. Place canopy through two machine screws so that it sits flush against ceiling. Be sure all wires are inside canopy. Secure canopy to ceiling by

fastening with two cap nuts.

7. Install light bulb (not included). See relamping label located at socket area for type and maximum allowed wattage.

8. Hang all crystal glass parts as shown on drawing.

NOTE: To replace broken crystal or pin, extras are included in hardware bag. Replace by gently bending open pin, remove broken crystal or pin,

hook new one, then close back pin. Avoid bending pin into sharp angle.
