Cutting with the Piece Positioned Vertically
This method may be used when “notching” the masonry piece.
(A)
Position masonry piece.
Adjust the height of the Cutting
Head as necessary, start engine
(C)
Slowly push piece toward Blade
to begin the cut. Continue push-
ing piece into Blade until cut is
complete. Turn the saw off when
work is complete

Open the Cooling Flow Control
Valve and adjust flow. Verify
proper cooling flow on
both sides of the blade
Angle Cuts
Angle Cuts may be performed using the Step Cut, Chop Cut, Cutting Head Positioned Down methods or with the masonry
piece positioned vertically. The following example utilizes the Step Cut method.

Reposition Adjustable Cutting
Guide. Align 45° Slots to Ruler/
Stop

Open the Cooling Flow Control
Valve and adjust flow. Verify
proper cooling flow on
both sides of the blade

Position the masonry piece.
Adjust the height of the Cutting
Head as necessary, start engine
(D)
Step Cut "Push" Stroke. Lower
Cutting Head 1/4" -1/2"
during Push Stroke
(E)
Step Cut "Pull" Stroke. Lower Cut-
ting Head 1/4" -1/2" during Pull
Stroke. Repeat Steps D and E until
cut complete. Turn the saw off when
work is complete.
