6 Maintenance
6.1 Replacing O-rings
If the O-rings on the universal capillary holder or on the grip head are damaged, they can be
replaced.
1. Remove the O-rings and the sealing washer with the extraction tool.
2. Insert the 2 new O-rings and a new sealing washer in the correct order.
3. Make sure that the 2 sealing washers and 2 matching O-rings are correctly arranged in the
grip head.
6.2 Cleaning
1. Clean the CellTram, pressure tube and universal capillary holder with water or a mild lab
detergent.
2. To remove residual liquid, blow out the pressure tube and universal capillary holder with
compressed air after cleaning.
6.3 Disinfection/decontamination
NOTICE!
NOTICE! Damage from the use of aggressive chemicals.
Do not use any aggressive chemicals on the device or its accessories, such as
strong and weak bases, strong acids, acetone, formaldehyde, halogenated
hydrocarbons or phenol.
If the device becomes contaminated with aggressive chemicals, clean it
immediately using a mild cleaning agent.
Hint!
Choose the disinfection method which corresponds to the legal regulations and
guidelines in place for your range of application.

Hint!
There must not be any residual liquid remaining in the pressure tube or in the universal
capillary holder after cleaning as otherwise steady pressure behavior will be
compromised.
NOTICE!
NOTICE! Damage from UV and other high-energy radiation.
Do not use UV, beta, gamma, or any other high-energy radiation for disinfecting.
Avoid storage in areas with strong UV radiation
NOTICE!
NOTICE! Damage to the device due to autoclaving.
Do not autoclave the CellTram.
