SPECIAL NOTE:

The components packaged in this kit have been assembled and machined for specific type of conversions. Modifications to any of the components will void

any possible warranty or return privileges. If you do not fully understand modifications or changes that will be required to complete your conversion, we strongly recommend that
you contact our sales department for more information. This instruction sheet is only to be used for the assembly of Advance Adapter components. We recommend that a service
manual pertaining to your vehicle be obtained for specific torque values, wiring diagrams and other related equipment. These manuals are normally available at automotive dealerships
and parts stores.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Mount the shifter body onto the Advance Adapter bracket. Position the three levers so that the alignment pin can be
installed. Install the 3 levers onto the transmission in the illustrated position. Rotate the transmission arms back and
forth and make sure that they have the necessary clearance and do not interfere with the other arms. On Saginaw and
Ford Top Loader conversions, it may be necessary to grind the reverse lever for additional clearance. Position the levers
into the neutral position. Install the rods into the levers using the nylon bushing and clip rings. Thread the buttons onto
the rods into a position that they will fit directly into the shifter body. It may be necessary to modify the rods on certain
applications for additional clearance. With all the rods and levers installed, you can now remove the alignment pin. You
must be able to shift the transmission into all gears and also reverse gear. The final adjustment is the stop bolts. Back
the stop bolts out of the shifter frame until only a few threads remain engaged. Push the stick firmly into 3rd gear and
hold. Screw in the 3rd gear stop bolt until contact is felt. Back the bolt out 1 turn and secure the lock nut. Repeat
the same procedure for the 4th gear stop bolt.
