GM TH350 AUTOMATIC REPLACING
GM 700R 4WD
The stock GM 700R is 1.875" longer than the TH350 transmission. This adapter spacer when used with a 6"
tailhousing 2WD TH350 (15.5" O.A.L. output shaft length) should provide a direct replacement for the 700R
transmission. The TH350 output shaft will require some trimming; however, this will allow you to install the
TH350 without any driveshaft modifications.
The TH350 will require a new kick down cable, we offer several options from Lokar depending on the engine you
have.
Trim shaft by measuring the 700R stock shaft stick out from the square bolt pattern on the transmission. Take
that measurement plus the 1.875" on the new spacer adapter. By adding the 700R and the adapter measurements
together, you can now measure from the back of the TH350 with this new amount and cut the output shaft to
match the 700R stick out. The total amount that should be cut from the shaft should be no more than 1.50".
