TOYOTA TRUCK INSTRUCTION MANUAL
700R-4 TO TOYOTA 4WD 23T INPUT
1987 & UP TOYOTA TRUCK 4WD VEHICLES
INSTRUCTIONS:
Before assembling the transmission with the new output shaft, you should verify that you have received the correct
adapter for your application. This adapter fits Toyota 4WD trucks that were manufactured after November 1987, and
were normally equipped with the Toyota V6 engine. There are two different output shafts available. There is a 23
spline and a 26 spline. We have no way of identifying the spline size prior to disassembly of your transmission and
transfer case. It will be the customer's responsibility to determine the correct spline size.
There are 2 special dowel pins that locate the transfer case to the new Advance Adapter housing. The assembled
overall length will be slightly longer than the original transmission and driveline modifications will be required on V8
conversions. The crossmember will need to be relocated or a new support bracket welded to the back side of the
original transfer case support.
