Step Three: Locate one 801174l support brace. Secure the support brace to the vehicle as shown in fig #2.
Support the side bar on jack stands under the vehicle. Attach the front support bracket to the support
brace as shown in fig #2. Position the support brackets on the vehicle as show in fig #3 & 4. Parallel
the side bar to the bottom of the vehicle and mark the vehicle through the mounting holes in each
support bracket. Remove the side bar from the vehicle and place it aside for now. Fully tighten the
hardware that secures the support brackets to the side bar excluding the one bolt that will attach the
front support brace to the side bar. Torque part # 901119 to 50 ft. lbs, and part # 901030 to 30 ft lbs.
Step Four: Center punch the vehicle where you marked. Drill two 5/16 holes for the front support bracket. Drill
three 3/8 holes for the rear support bracket. “CAUTION” before drilling, make sure to check the
back side of the drilling area for possible hazards or obstructions.
Step Five: Locate two 901001 type F bolts, three 901030 hex bolts, three 901015 flat washers, three 901016 lock
washers and three 901014 hex nuts. Position the side bar under the vehicle and secure the side bar to
the vehicle with the hardware listed in this step. Fully tighten all hardware at this time.
