RECORDING 41
7 Use SELECT to record the program at daily or
weekly intervals.
Mo-Fr: Record every day from
Monday to Friday. Weekly: Recording at the same
day of the week, every week, for example every
Thursday.
8 Press u (right cursor).
9 Use w/v (down or up cursor) to select the
Recording mode (HQ, SP, LP, EP).
10 Press OK to conform.
‰ The information has been stored in a timer block.
11 To end, press TIMER.
12 Make sure that you inserted a recordable disc. If you
inserted a write-protected discs recording will not
occur.
13 Switch off the Recorder by pressing ON/OFF or
B STANDBY/ON.
Timer recording without ‘VCR Plus+’
Use term ‘Timer Recording’ for all references.
1 Press TIMER on the remote control.
2 Select Timer programming with w/v (down or up
cursor.)
3 Press u (right cursor).
4 Enter a specific month and date with w/v (down or
up cursor) or with the digit buttons 0-9.
l Use SELECT to record the program at daily or
weekly intervals.

5 Press u (right cursor) to select Ch.
6 Enter the channel number you want to record with
w
/v (down or up cursor) or the digit buttons 0-9.
Enter channel numbers as a three digit number. For
example, for channel 12, press 0,1,2. A cross (
X) will
appear if invalid information is entered.
7 Press u (right cursor) to select Start.
8 Enter the Start time with w/v (down or up cursor)
or the digit buttons 0-9.
9 Press SELECT to toggle between AM and PM.
l Press u (right cursor) to select End.
l Enter the End time with w/v (down or up cursor)
or the digit buttons 0-9. Press SELECT repeatedly
to choose
AM or PM.
l Press u (right cursor) to select Record mode.
l Select the recording mode with w/v (down or up
cursor.)
l If you make a mistake, go back with t (left cursor)
and re-enter the information.
l Confirm with OK.
‰ When all information is correct, the data is
stored in a timer block.
l To end, press TIMER.
l Make sure you inserted a disc without erase
protection. If you inserted a disc with erase
protection, recording will not occur.
l Switch off the Recorder by pressing ON/OFF or
B STANDBY/ON.
If a timer recording is incorrect
The following messages may appear when you set a
timer recording may appear in the timer menu:
Collision
The Timer recording overlaps with another timer
recording.
Solution:
l Ignore by pressing TIMER again. The program
with the earlier start time will record completely.
Then the remainder of the later program will
record.
l Edit one or both timer recordings.
l Delete one of the timer recordings.
Please enter channel number
The VCR Plus+ system does not recognize the TV
channel.
Solution
l Select the required channel number with t/u (left
or right cursor).
l Press OK to conform.
PlusCode wrong
You entered an incorrect PlusCode number.
Solution:
l Enter the correct information or quit by pressing
TIMER.
