Getting to know your fax
Fax machine
Speed dial directory
Press to access Speed
Dial and One Touch
Directory numbers.
Also use to delete during
editing.
Resolution/Hold
When a document is
inserted in the feeder
tray, press to adjust
the faxing/copying
resolution. page 18.
During a telephone
conversation, press to
put the line on hold,
page 13.
Error light
Indicates a fault when sending
or receiving a fax.
(S)
Adjusts the speaker volume
when the speaker is active.
Also used to access SMS (Text).
Message indicator
On – you have old messages
Flashing – you have new messages
Off – no messages
Answering machine functions
ᮣᮣ /|| (UP)
Press to pause message
playback, press again to
resume playback.
ᮣᮣ | (RIGHT)
Play next message.
Start recording a memo.
| ᮤᮤ (LEFT)
Play previous message.
X (DOWN)
Delete messages.
R (Recall)
Used to access
switchboard functions
and with some BT Calling
Features.
Keypad
For dialling numbers and
entering names and numbers
in memory and writing texts.
Also, press and hold to dial
any one-touch numbers
stored, page 14.
(UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT)
Scroll through menus and
settings.
Move the cursor left and
right when entering names
and numbers.
Stop
Cancels a fax,
copy and SMS text
operation.
Turns off the Error
indicator light.
Returns your machine
to standby.
Stop message
playback or recording
on the answering
machine.
Start
Press to begin
sending or receiving
a document.
Confirms menu options
on-screen.
Press to start copying
a document inserted in
the feeder tray.
Play messages or start
recording on your
answering machine.
Handsfree (SPEAKER)
Press to make calls via
the built-in loudspeaker,
page 13.
F (Function)
Press to open the main
menu.
Press to select further
menu options
displayed on screen.
Calls lists//Pause
Displays the last 10 outgoing
fax and phone calls, page 20.
Displays the last 20 incoming
fax and phone calls, page 26.
Inserts a pause when dialling
or storing a number, page 15.
