■ Camera
To activate the camera, press the Camera/Video key, or select > Tools > Camera.
To take a self portrait, use the cover touch keys to activate the camera with the fold closed.
The display functions as a viewfinder.
on the upper left of the display indicates the still
image mode.
Capture an image and record a video
To capture an image, press the center selection key. Hold the phone still while taking a picture.
The image is saved to Images in My Stuff. To return to the viewfinder, select Back. To delete
the image, press the clear key. To delete an image when using the camera with the fold
closed, select Delete.
To edit a photo, select My Stuff > Images. Open the photo and select Options > Edit > Apply
effect. Scroll through the options on the screen and select the effect you want.
Tip: To turn off the camera capture sound, press and hold the # key to activate the
vibrate profile.
After taking a picture, you can view or edit your image. For more information, see "View
images," p. 36 or "Edit images," p. 36.
To record a video, select Options > Video mode, or scroll right and select Video mode.
indicates the video mode. To start the recording, press the center selection key. To pause the
recording, press the center selection key. To stop the recording, press the right selection key.
To see the toolbar, select Options > Show toolbar, or press the left or right scroll key.
Camera settings
To capture images sequentially, select Options > Sequence mode > On. When you press the
center selection key, the camera captures six images in short intervals.
To turn the flash on automatically when necessary, select Options > Flash > Automatic.
Keep a safe distance when using the flash. Do not use the flash on people or animals at close
range. Do not cover the flash while taking a picture.
In dim lighting, to use night mode, select Options > Night mode > On.
To adjust the white balance or color tone, select Options > Adjust > White balance or
Color tone.
Your device supports an image capture resolution of 1200 x 1600 pixels.
To change camera settings for still images or videos when in the camera mode, select Options >
Settings > Image or Video and the desired setting. When using the camera with the fold
closed, options for pre-selected settings are not available.
