Confirm that the external monitor’s power cable

is plugged into a working power outlet.

No display

Try adjusting the contrast and brightness controls

on the monitor.

Press hotkeys Fn + F5 to change the display

priority and make sure it is not set for the internal

display.

Display error occurs

Check that the cable connecting the monitor to

the computer is attached firmly.
If problems persist, contact your dealer.

Problem

Procedure

USB device does not

work

Check for a firm cable connection between the

USB ports on the Port Replicator and the USB

device.

Make sure the USB device drivers are properly

installed. Refer to your Microsoft Windows

documentation for more information.

If you are using an operating system that does

not support USB, you can still use a USB mouse

and/or USB keyboard. If these devices do not

work, make sure the USB Legacy Emulation item

in HW Setup is set to Enabled.
This feature works only for mouse and keyboard.

Also, note that the mouse and keyboard must be

connected before you boot the computer.
A USB mouse, keyboard, and/or diskette

connected to the Port Replicator via any

connection other than a first tier hub, will not

work until the OS has started.
If problems persist, contact your dealer.
