The card is a medium for recording pictures, similar to film in a film camera.
Pictures recorded to the card can be easily erased on the camera or processed
using a computer. The number of recordable images can be increased by
exchanging the card for one with a larger capacity.

Index area
You can use this space to write the contents of the card.

Contact area
The part where the data transferred from the camera
enters the card.

Make sure the camera is turned

off.

• The power lamp is off.
• The monitor is off.
• The lens barrier is closed.

Open the battery compartment/

card cover.

Note

• This camera may not recognize a non-OLYMPUS card or a card that was

formatted on another device (such as a computer, etc.). Before use, be sure to
format the card on this camera.
