AE LOCK – Locking the exposure

Position the AF target mark on the
subject you want to focus on and
press the shutter button halfway.
• The green lamp lights.
• AE lock cannot be canceled while the
shutter button is pressed halfway.

Press the shutter button fully.
• AE lock is automatically canceled after
one shot.
TIPS
To save the locked metered value (exposure) after shooting (AE
memory).

After step 2 or 3, hold down x for more than 1 second. C
appears. While C is displayed, the exposure is saved. Press
x again to cancel the AE memory.
AE lock was canceled.
Æ
Do not operate any of the buttons or the mode dial after performing
AE lock. Doing so will cancel AE lock.
Æ The camera had emerged from sleep mode or the power was
turned off.
• AE lock is not available when a menu is displayed on the screen.
