User’s Reference Guide
Rev. 1.4
3.3.3.1
Control > Queue to SG Communication
In order for
Queue
to work with the other modules, i.e., receive jobs from
SG
, it must be registered
to the
Printgroove
system and the User Accounts must be synchronized. Both of these
communications factors should normally occur at system startup. The password is set by
Queue
and only needs to be entered into the password field if it has been changed since the last session.
3.3.3.1.1 Queue Registered to Printgroove System
The Register/Unregister button initiates communications with the
Queue
server, making it
available to the rest of the
Printgroove
modules. If the
Queue
server had previously been
successfully registered, the button will read Unregister, and clicking this button will cease all
communication with the server. This means that any jobs being sent to, or expected from,
Queue
will stop processing.
3.3.3.1.2 Queue Users Synchronized with SG Users
When
Queue
is initiated as a
Printgroove
module, the users and passwords in
Queue
will
populate the user table for
Serve
and
Guide
. The users will be inactive and will have no
permissions or Roles set, but the S/G Application Administrator can define the appropriate
permissions and activate the necessary users.
As mentioned earlier, this synchronization should occur at startup. If the
Queue
password changes
or new users have been added, click on the Account Synchronization button to re-synchronize
the
Printgroove
modules. If successful, the message shown in the green bar below will display.
Please note that if a user in Queue has the same name and password as a user in SG, the Queue
username and password will overwrite the SG username and password during synchronization!
