Appendix A. System memory speed
The Intel Xeon ® microprocessor families that are compatible with this ThinkStation ® computer feature an
integrated memory controller, which provides the microprocessor with direct access to the system memory.
Because of this design, the system memory speed will be determined by a number of factors, including the
microprocessor model and the type, speed, size (capacity), and number of DIMMs installed. Refer to the
following table for the information on the supported system memory speed for your own computer model.
