The Sounds and Audio Devices Properties dialog will
display, as shown. The solo-Desktop device will be
selected.

Open the Volume settings for Sound recording
to view the volume levels selected for the
microphone input (Capture) on the computer.

Make sure that the level for the Microphone is
close to the top (maximum) and that the Mute
box is not checked.
6.
In the Sound playback section, open the
Volume settings for to control the volume you
hear in the Microphone’s earpiece.
Adjust the Speaker level at the master Volume
control if necessary.
