Using the shooting functions
Changing the recording mode
Selects a camera mode on the menu screen.
Still image shooting modes
There are three shooting modes available for still images: auto, program, scene selection.
The default setting is [Auto].
To select camera modes other than [Auto], see the following procedure.

Press MENU.

X to select
[Camera].

C/c to select the
desired mode.
AUTO: Auto adjustment mode
Allows easy shooting with the settings adjusted automatically.
PGM: Program auto shooting mode
Allows you to shoot with the exposure adjusted automatically (both the shutter speed and
the aperture value). Also you can select various settings using the menu. (Refer to page 30
for details on the functions available.)
SCN: Scene Selection mode (

Allows you to shoot with preset settings according to the scene (page 32).
To switch shooting modes
Press HOME, and select [
] (Camera)

] (Movie) with the control button.
• You can perform this operation using the
