Rotate the mode dial to the desired exposure
mode.
• Rotate to
A, B, C or D.
• Settings can be saved even if rotated to
i (the default
settings of shooting mode
A are saved when the
camera is first purchased).

Change to a frequently used combination of shooting settings.

A49 for more information about the saved settings.

Press the
d
button.
• The shooting menu is displayed.

Use the multi selector to select Save user
settings, and press the
k button.
• Done screen is displayed, and the current settings are
saved.

Clock Battery
If the internal clock battery (
A21) is exhausted, the settings saved in i will be reset. Writing down
any important setting is recommended.

Resetting for User Settings
If Reset user settings is selected, the settings that are saved in the user settings are reset as follows:
• Shooting mode:
A (Programmed auto)
• Zoom position: Maximum wide-angle position
• Flash mode:
U
(auto)
• Focus mode:
A
(autofocus)
• Exposure compensation: 0.0
• Fn button: Continuous
• Shooting menu: Same as the default setting for each item
