If the LINK/ACT LED is OFF, do the following:

❑ Check to be sure that the end-node

connected to the port on the switch is
powered ON. If the end-node is OFF,
power the unit ON.

❑ Check that the cable is securely connected

to the port on the switch and on the end-
node.

❑ Check to be sure that the distance

between the switch and the end-node does
not exceed 100 meters (328 feet).

❑ Check to be sure that you are using

Category 5 cable.

❑ Check to be sure that the cable has not

been cut or damaged.

If there is a communication problem between
the end-nodes connected to the switch, do the
following:

❑ Verify that the switch and end-nodes are

operating with the same duplex mode.
