Setting the Duplex Mode Manually
To manually change the duplex mode of the fiber optic port on the
AT-FS717FC/SC switch, perform the following procedure:
1. Locate the duplex mode switch on the front panel of the chassis.
2. Use the tip of a pen to manually change the duplex mode switch to
half- or full-duplex mode, as shown in Figure 16.

The 100FX duplex mode switch specifications are as follows:
ˆ Upper position - The fiber optic port is operating in half-duplex
mode.
ˆ Lower position - The fiber optic port is operating in full-duplex
mode.
