DELETE VLAN MACADDRESS
Syntax
delete vlan=
name
|
vid
macaddress|destaddress=
mac-address
Parameters
vlan
Specifies the name or VID of the VLAN to be
modified.
macaddress or
Specifies the MAC address to be removed from the
destaddress
VLAN. These parameters are equivalent. You can
remove only one MAC address at a time. A MAC
address can be entered in either of the following
formats:
xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx or xxxxxxxxxxxx
Description
This command removes MAC addresses from a MAC address-based
VLAN. You can remove only one MAC address at a time with this
command.
You cannot remove a MAC address if it has been assigned egress ports.
You must first remove the ports from the MAC address before you can
delete it. To remove egress ports from a MAC address, refer to “DELETE
VLAN PORT MACADDRESS” on page 539.
Examples
The following command removes the MAC address 00:30:84:32:8A:5D
from the Sales VLAN:
delete vlan=Sales macaddress=00:30:84:32:8A:5D
The following command removes the MAC address 00:30:84:75:11:B2
from the VLAN with the VID 24:
delete vlan=24 macaddress=0030847511b2
