Using the Applications 121
Tools
Calculator
With this feature, you can use the phone as a calculator. The calculator provides the
basic arithmetic functions; addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
1.
When the Idle screen displays, press the Menu soft key.
2.
Select My Stuff and press the Select soft key or the
key.
3.
Using the Up or Down Navigation key, highlight Applications and press
the Select soft key or the
key.
4.
Highlight Tools and press the Select soft key or the
key.
5.
Highlight Calculator and press the Select soft key or the
key.
6.
Enter the first number using the numeric keys.
Note: To include a decimal point, press the
*
key. For brackets/parentheses, press the
#
key. For other
mathematical expressions, press the soft left key for Options.
7.
Enter the operation for your calculation by pressing the Navigation keys,
according to the illustration on the display.
8.
Enter the second number.
9.
To view the result, press the
key.
Tip Calculator
With this feature, you can use the phone to calculate the amount of money left as a
tip based on parameters such as: total bill amount, tip percentage, and number of
members in your party.

When the Idle screen displays, press the Menu soft key.
2.
Select My Stuff and press the Select soft key or the
key.
3.
Using the Up or Down Navigation key, highlight Applications and press
the Select soft key or the
key.
4.
Highlight Tools and press the Select soft key or the
key.
5.
Highlight Tip Calculator and press the Select soft key or the
key.
6.
Enter the values into the appropriate fields by using the numeric keys:
• Bill
• Tip(%)
• # paying
Note: To include a decimal point by pressing the
key.
