Hardware – Description and Installation
Note: Make sure the system is powered-off before installing the RocketRAID 4460
host adapter.Be sure of the cache memory module is present and seated firmly in
the DIMM socket (DDR2-533) for RocketRAID 4460.
default 1GB of ECC DDR2- 533 SDRAM. User can upgrade to 2GB or 4GB
DDR2 module.

BEEP1 – Speaker
Alarm (speaker): the speaker emits and audible alarm in the case of disk/array failure.
Ethernet Port
Ethernet port(J4) for Out of Bound Manegement, support Net Time Protocol.
Cable – Internal Mini-SAS to Mini-SAS
The integrated RocketRAID 4460 includes 6 Internal Mini-SAS to Mini-SAS cables.

Gently insert the RocketRAID 4460 into the PCI-E slot, and secure the bracket to
the system chassis.

After installing the adapter, attach the Mini-SAS connectors to the RocketRAID
4460’s Mini-SAS port,and to chassis backplane. Each Mini-SAS cable supports
up to 4 hard disk drives. Consult the chassis’s manual for proper installation
procedures.
