Posey, Deluxe lateral arm support
• Wipe Clean with mild detergent. OSHA approved
intermediate level disinfectants can be used per
manufacturer instructions. DO NOT use phenol and
benzyl based disinfectants.
• After cleaning, products MUST be rinsed with water to remove
any residual chemicals.
• Make sure products are completely dry before use.

ApplicAtion instructions:
1. Orient the armrest so that the long foam panel fits inside the
wheelchair seating area to help support the patient laterally
(See photo for proper orientation).
2. Place the cut-out foam slot of the Elevated Armrest over the
wheelchair armrest and press down into position (fig. 1).
3. Remove the adhesive backed hook tab from the inside panel of
the Elevated Armrest and place it on the inside of the armrest
panel.
4. If desired, the positioning straps may be opened and used to
secure the patient’s arm position. Alternatively, the positioning
straps can be left closed and the patient’s arm may rest on top
of the straps. A towel can be draped over the vinyl, if desirable.

The Deluxe Lateral Arm Support is designed to help prevent
lateral leaning. It also provides a convenient elevated armrest
to facilitate arm use and rehabilitation. Made of padded
foam covered with vinyl. Convenient, ambidextrous design – one
product fits either side of a wheelchair armrest. Meets California #117
Flame Retardancy Standards. One per package.

This device may be stored in ambient warehouse temperatures at
normal humidity levels. Avoid excess moisture or high humidity
that may damage product materials.

or torn, cut or frayed material. DO NOT use soiled or damaged

Properly dispose of the product per facility’s policy for
BIOHAZARDOUS materials.
Monitoring
Be sure to follow your facility’s policies and guidelines
for frequency of patient monitoring.
