Laundering instructions:
Wash hot, bleach as directed, dry on low.
Posey incontinence products are designed for use with patients/clients who are at risk of incontinence episodes. The
quilted polyester laminate multi-layer construction features a white non-woven absorption liner, a waterproof urethane
inner layer and a woven reinforcing blue bottom layer protect both the patient’s skin and bedding/cushions/furniture
from urine spills. Machine Washable. Meets CA #117 flame retardancy standards.
incontinence and turn pad
The Posey Incontinence and Turn Pad will absorb up to 1,000cc, or 4 cups of fluid. The
multiple layer pad is machine washable and more cost-effective than disposables.
Nylon handles along the length of the pad help the caregiver to quickly and safely turn
or reposition the patient. Sold in packages of six pads. The load capacity is 220 lbs. (100
kgs.).

Do not use this product as a patient transfer device, it is not
designed to hold the patient’s weight during transfer. Patient may fall or
severe injury may occur.
appLication instructions
Place the pad on the bed, underneath a patient with the blue side down.
Handles should be oriented along the side of the mattress.

The Posey Wheelchair Cushion Incontinence Pad will absorb up to 300cc, or 10 oz.

appLication instructions
Place on a cushion, blue side down, and secure to the cushion using the
four corner straps (Fig. 1). Pad can also be used without a cushion by simply
placing it underneath the individual.

Monitoring
Be sure to follow your facility’s policies and guidelines for frequency of patient monitoring. Posey recommends that
this product be removed at least every two (2) hours to check for skin integrity and proper circulation.

Inspect before each use: check for broken stitches; or torn, cut or frayed material. Do not use soiled or damaged
products.

Properly dispose of the product per facility’s policy for
BIoHAZARDoUS materials.
storage and handLing
this device is designed for use in normal indoor environments. this device
may be stored in ambient warehouse temperatures at normal humidity
levels. Avoid excess moisture or high humidity that may damage product
materials.
