1. Place patient’s elbow into the pocket of the pad. When fastening the hook and loop
strap across the arm, be careful not to restrict circulation.
1. Wrap the liner, towel or washcloth around the ankle.
2. Insert the ankle through the opening in the foam and secure with hook and loop
closure strap.
Note: To reduce pressure on the ankle and hypertension of the knee, a pillow may be
placed under the patient’s knee and leg (Fig. 1).
