5. Using TeleNav

The TeleNav Menu

The TeleNav Menu selections are a) Navigation and Directions, b) Business
Finder, c) Maps, d) Tools, e) Preferences, and f) Help/About. You Exit TeleNav
from this menu by pressing the ESCape button. You can return to TeleNav
Home using the trackwheel menu from elsewhere within TeleNav.

NOTE:

The description of the TeleNav application features begins with the TeleNav Tools (below) that do not

require a TeleNav subscription, and then discusses each of the subscription services. Preferences, and
Help/About are discussed last.

TeleNav Tools

None of the TeleNav Tools require Nextel
packet data service or a TeleNav subscription.
If you select TeleNav Tools from the main
menu, you will be taken to the TeleNav Tools
submenu. You can make a choice by
highlighting the item, and pressing the
trackwheel . Otherwise, press ESCape to
return to the main menu.

Compass

If you choose Compass, you will see a display similar to a nautical compass.
More correctly, it actually displays course over ground, the direction you are
traveling if you are moving. The screen also provides current latitude, longitude,
and speed. Using the main menu Preferences, you can select the format of the
speed as miles per hour or kilometers per hour.

If no GPS data is available, “No GPS” appears instead of latitude and longitude.

Press ESCape to return to the TeleNav Tools submenu.
