The printhead is designed to prevent you from
accidentally inserting it into the wrong position.
Check that the colored label on the printhead
matches the colored label of the carriage assembly
position that the printhead is to be inserted in. Do
not confuse the light cyan printhead with the dark
cyan position in the carriage.

Before you replace the printhead, it is
recommended that you clean the carriage
assembly as shown in
