Identifying the status of a drive
Identifying the status of a legacy drive
Identify a legacy drive by its carrier, shown in the following illustration.
When a drive is configured as a part of an array and connected to a powered-up controller, the drive LEDs
indicate the condition of the drive.

regularly (1 Hz)
A predictive failure alert has been received for this drive.
Replace the drive as soon as possible.

Off
The drive is online, but it is not active currently.
