When -? is selected, the following information is displayed on the screen:
Option A – View Log in Axx100 NSP
This feature applies to both the Axx100 and the Ax150 family of NSPs. Use this option
to view either the NSP’s system log or the security audit log. There are four
requirements to view a system log, they are:
1. The NSP must have a socket available to establish a connection with NSPDIAG;
see MAX_CLIENTS_ASCII in section 4 of the Installation and Operations Guide for
the Atalla Ax150 NSP.
2. The NSP must have a status port configured; see PORT_STATUS in section 4 of
the Installation and Operations Guide for the Atalla Ax150 NSP.

This program uses three types of files. There are
DATA, BATCH, and LOG files. DATA files are described
in detail below. BATCH Files contain DATA file names.
Each line of the BATCH file contains one DATA file
name. The BATCH file allows multiple DATA files to be
tested. The LOG file contains the results of the
tests. DATA files contain commands that are sent to
the device under test. The DATA file is formatted with
internal commands in the first column. The second
column is ignored (it usually contains a space). The
rest of the file contains information as indicated by
the internal command. The maximum length of a DATA
file line is 255; if command is entered interactively,
the maximum is 132 characters. If command length
exceeds the maximum data line length, use internal
command ‘+’ or ‘&’ to split the command. By splitting
the command, NSPDIAG permits command length up to 4223
bytes as the maximum length allowed by the NSPs.
