a database file. If this is not the case, add a new record to the dictionary (with DDL) and use
the ENFORM FIND command to create the new database file.

5. Now that the database file to be used by Lotus 1-2-3 and its associated
record have been checked, it’s time to use PCFORMAT.
Lotus 1-2-3 can use two of the output formats from PCFORMAT: either
DIF or BASIC. With the DIF format, a translate utility must be used
first to convert the data to a worksheet file. The BASIC format, which is
the same as the print file format in Lotus 1-2-3, can be used directly
