Adding Mounting Brackets to a Customer-
Provided Rack
Depending on the type of rack, you might need additional hardware.
1. Remove the four Phillips screws from the Fibre Channel converter.
2. Insert one mounting bracket flush against the left side and fasten it with two
Phillips screws.
3. Insert the second mounting bracket flush against the right side and fasten it
with the other two Phillips screws.
Adding a Fibre Channel Converter to an
Enclosure or Customer-Provided Rack
1. Place the Fibre Channel converter bottom down on a flat surface facing
forward.
2. Place one L-bracket flush against the left side of the converter and fasten it
with two 1/2 inch screws.
3. Place one L-bracket flush against the right side of the converter and fasten it
with two 1/2 inch screws.
4. Insert the Fibre Channel converter into the enclosure so that its face is
toward the front of the enclosure.
5. Using four 1” inch screws, fasten the L-bracket to the mounting bracket.
