Partition Definition pane (CLPR selected)

When a CLPR is selected, the pane displays the following:

CU: Displays the selected CU’s parity groups in the CLPR resource list.

Tree: Lists the disk array’s SLPRs and CLPRs.

CLPR resource list: Displays information about the selected CLPR.
No.: Line number.
Resource Type: Type of CLPR resource: Parity Group, DCR Cache, or PCR Cache.
Address: Parity group’s address.
Properties: Parity group’s capacity and RAID configuration.
EMU Type: Parity group’s emulation type.
Information: If an LU is available with Just-in-Time, Just in Time appears.

Detail for CLPR: Selected CLPR’s settings. You can change the CLPR’s settings.
CLPR Name: Up to 16 alphanumeric characters.
Cache Size: CLPR’s cache capacity. Must be between 6 GB and 252 GB in 2 GB increments. The

default is 4 GB.

Cache LUN Size: Cache LUN capacity. Must be between 0 and 252 GB in 0.5 GB increments. The

default is 0 GB. If the total amount of defined cache LUN in the selected CLPR is larger than the

setting for Cache LUN Size, an error occurs.

Number of Cache LUN Areas: Number of cache LUN areas. Must be between 0 and 4,096. The

default is 0. If the total amount of defined Cache Residency Area in the selected CLPR is more than

the setting for Number of Cache LUN Areas, an error occurs.

Partial Cache Residence Size: Partial Cache Residence (PCR) capacity. Must be between 0 and

252 GB in 0.5 GB increments. The default is 0 GB. If the total amount of defined Partial Cache

Residence Size is more than the setting for Partial Cache Residence Size, an error occurs.

NOTE:

You cannot change the capacity value of CLPR0 directly. If you change another CLPR’s

capacity, the difference is reflected in CLPR0’s capacity.
